Delete a Section of a Sketch Line

General

The function removes a line or part of a line:
    • Segment between two intersection points.
    • Segment between the end point and intersection point of the line.
    • Segment between both ends.

  1. Select Sketch | Line Tools | Delete Section.
  2. Click the line segment to be deleted. The line section is deleted up to the closest line intersections.
  3. Stop deleting line section
    • Select another function or
    • Press the V key.
    • Press the Esc key.
    • Click the middle mouse button.
Note:

  • You can also cut an identical line. For more information, see Identical Constraint.

    • An identical line is created when a line from the previous geometry of a part is copied into the sketch.
    • In this case, the copied identical line becomes a construction line and a continuous cut line is created for it.
