Delete a Part or an Assembly

This function can be used to delete a selected part, subassembly or component, and the geometric constraint associated with the part, from the assembly.

• You cannot undo the deletion. The deleted part has to be added to the assembly again.
• You cannot remove a part from a subassembly.

Instead, you can select the subassembly for editing, make changes to the assembly and save the model.

1. Do either of the following:
   • Select a part from the model.
   • Select one or several parts, subassembly or a component in the assembly tree by holding down Ctrl and clicking with the left mouse button.
2. Select either of the following:
   • Select the Delete function.
   • Press the Delete key.
