Changing a Missing Font to Another

When you import a drawing into Vertex, some dimensions or texts may remain invisible in the drawing. This is caused by the unavailability of the Windows font which was used when adding the elements to the drawing.

You can make the elements visible by changing the missing font to an available font as follows:

  1. Select Selection filter> Selection filter.
  2. Select Dimensions and Texts as the element types in the Selection filter dialog box.

    Selection Filter Dialog Box

  3. Click the button in the dialog box.
  4. Select the Font N Font missing option from the Font list in the dialog box.

If more than one unavailable fonts have been used in the drawing, each of them is listed as a missing font.

  5. Click OK.
  6. Select the elements in the drawing by pressing Ctrl+A.

After the elements have been selected, their properties are displayed on the contextual toolbar.

  7. Select a font with which you wish to replace the elements that are invisible in the drawing from the Font list of the contextual toolbar.
  8. Continue by replacing the next missing font until you have made all of them visible.
Note:
  • Alternatively, you can restore the Vertex default parameters to the open drawing by selecting the Settings > Restore Parameters function.
