Read a Symbol
General
- Select auxiliary functions , before clicking the location of a symbol.
- You can, for example, change the reference point or mirror the symbol.
- The symbol is added as a group into a drawing.
- A symbol added from the library is local, i.e. it does not have association with the original library symbol. In other words, changes made to the symbol in the library are not updated to the symbol added to the drawing.
Read and Place a Symbol
- Select Drawing | Symbols > Read Symbol.
- You can also use keyboard shortcuts to open the symbol browser from the desired locations.
- The program opens the dialog box Select Symbol/Component.
- Select a symbol by double-clicking it
- Click a location or locations for the symbol.
- If necessary, select the auxiliary functions by opening the context-sensitive menu with the right mouse button, when the symbol appears in the lower right corner of the cursor.

- Stop adding similar symbols
- Press the V key or
- Press the middle mouse button or
- Select the context-sensitive function OK.
- The program opens the dialog box Select Symbol/Component.
- Select another symbol and repeat steps 3 to 6 to continue adding.
- Stop adding symbols
- Press the Esc key or
- select another function when a symbol is still "hanging" in the cursor.
