Modeling Doors
Doors are modeled on the XZ plane as assemblies, the origins of which are in the lower left corner in the middle of the frame. Doors can be created in two different ways:
- Use variable door models. Variable models are slower to grip point in the Vertex BD application.
- Create individual models for each door size. Non-variable models are quicker to grip point in the Vertex BD application.
You should use basic functions such as basic extrusions and simple functions when modeling. Try to avoid roundings and external references.
Line width and layer
In both of these methods, the line widths must be 0.13.
The lines should be at level 27 with the following exceptions:
- The line going around along the outer edge of the frame is added on layer 101. The opening in the wall is formed based on this line.
- The surface area of the balcony door glass panels will be included in the room's window area if the balcony door glass panel lines are on layer 30.
- It is possible to add a line to the layer 1001 on the basis of which the opening is formed in the wall siding layer. It is required that the parameter Siding overlaps on openings in the wall properties has the value 1. For the other layers, the opening is formed according to the line at level 101.
Surfaces
The naming practice and material categories of the surfaces are the same, regardless of the modeling method.
