Divide a Framing into Fields with a Polyline

This function can be used to divide a horizontal structure or framing into fields. You can define individual framing properties, origin points and framing directions for each field.

Divide sheathing into fields with a polyline as follows:

1. Select the structure. The structure’s basic layer whose type is FRAMING becomes automatically selected. If necessary, you can select another FRAMING type layer.

   Select a Structure and a Layer

2. Select Plane Structure | Framing | Framing Gallery Fields.
3. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
4. Select Add Split > By Poly.
5. Select the points of the division line, locking the cursor if necessary.
6. After selecting the end point of the division line, select Confirm.

Note

• The division line should continue unbroken from one end of the horizontal structure to the other, but should not go over the end.
• When a framing is divided into fields, the program will add one origin point to each field. You can change the direction of the field and the properties of the framing by editing the origin point.
• After selecting the origin points and properties, you can refresh the framing using the Add and Update a Framing function.
