Create a New Automatic Detail

The details to be added automatically have been defined in the DETAILS database (folder ..custom/detbook/dbases). You can create a new automatic detail as follows:

  1. First, create a drawing for the detail's preview image.
  2. Add the detail in the DETAILS database. Select Modeling | Drafting | Details Save Drawing as a Detail.
  3. Define the detail data. In addition to the normal detail data, following parameters must be defined for an automatic detail:
    • If you want the detail to be used at a framing line, select the framing line from the Edge type list.
    • With the Filters button, you can define the locations in which the details can be used. For example, edge at framing direction, edge at perpendicular to framing direction, opening edge, etc.
    • If necessary, add a reference to the detail defined in the framing database to the Parameters field.

  4. Select the detail archive in the custom folder as the saving location of the detail.
