Open a File Saved with an Incompatible Version

If you try to open a drawing or model created with an incompatible application or software version, you will receive the following warning: "Warning: This file has been created with ... (application and version number). The file format may not be compatible. Would you like to open the file anyway?" Select either of the following:

• Yes - The file is opened. Opening the file may result in a program error.
• No - The file is not opened.

If you try to open a project created with an incompatible application or software version, you will receive several warnings, because projects always include several drawing and model files. The file name is included in the warning.

You will receive a warning when, for example, the project or file you are trying to open has been saved with a newer software version than the one you are using.
