Database View Fields

In Use
When a drawing-model pair of a project is in use, it can be opened by pressing F4, or by clicking the button in the top left corner of the working window:
If necessary, you can set a drawing-model pair out of use by selecting NO as the value of the In use field. You can later set the drawing-model pair back into use by selecting YES as the value. This matches the Select the Drawing-Model Pairs Used function.
Description
Type a description of the drawing-model pair in the text field. When the drawing-model pair is opened, this description will be displayed on the title bar of the work window.
Order
Each drawing-model pair of a project has a serial number, for example:
Drawing-model Pair Serial number e.g.
1st floor plan drawing. 30
1st floor walls framing 31
1st floor deck 32
1st floor deck framing 33
The numbering of drawing-model pairs is customer-specific and depends on the selected template.
2D drawing
The name of the drawing file of the drawing-model pair.
3D Model File
The name of the model file of the drawing-model pair.
Parameter Set
The project parameters determine, for example, the heights and default structures of different structural components. The available parameter sets depend on the project template the project was based on. Parameter sets for foundations, different floors and the roof are usually available. The available parameter sets are determined by the Parameters file in the project directory.
Properties
If necessary, you can edit the properties of a drawing-model pair by clicking the Properties button. You can also edit the properties later by using the function Edit the Drawing-model Pair Properties.
Type and sub type
Select the type and sub type for the drawing-model pair. This information is used when copying objects and managing the materials of sub projects.
  • Copying objects - When you copy objects from one floor to another, or from one project to another via the clipboard, the program tries to position the objects in the correct drawing-model pairs.
  • Managing materials - The materials of the objects in the sub project’s drawing-model pair are collected on the right floor in the main project. For example, you can add the sub project’s drawing-model pair “1st floor walls” to the main project’s drawing-model pair “2nd floor walls”. When you collect the materials, the walls of the sub project are marked as belonging to the second floor.
The type can be
  • Room level
  • Roof level
  • Foundation level
  • Terrain level
  • Unknown level
The sub type can be:
  • Walls
  • Ceilings
  • Floors
  • Unknowns
When you open an old project whose drawing-model pairs do not have a type and sub type set, the program automatically sets them according to the names of the parameter sets in the project’s PARAMETERS file and the drawing file names of the drawing-model pairs. If necessary, you can also set the information by using the function Edit Drawing-model Pairs.
Plan type
This information is used when copying objects and managing the materials of sub projects in the same way as the Type and sub type properties.
When you open an old project whose drawing-model paris do not have a plan type set, the program sets it automatically according to the name of the model file. If necessary, you can also set the information by using the function Edit Drawing-model Pairs.
