Rotating a Part in Relation to a Surface

You can use these functions to rotate a part in the model window in relation to the selected surface before selecting a position for it. Rotate the part as follows:

1. If necessary, first select part mirroring by selecting the following checkbox:

   

   The mirroring is done in relation to the selected surface.

2. Do either of the following:
   • Rotate the Z axis of the part parallel to the normal of the selected surface by clicking the following button:

     

   • Rotate the X axis of the part parallel to the normal of the selected surface by clicking the following button:

     

3. Select a surface.
