Move a Wall
If a wall has not been fixed to its position with geometric constraints, you can move it in the drawing in different ways:
- You can move individual walls by dragging from the grip point.
- If you want to move several walls at once, use the Move function in the context-sensitive menu.
- When the Automatic floors setting is enabled, the floor is updated automatically when you move walls. If the setting is disabled, and you want to move a wall so that the floor edge is moved along with the wall, use the Stretch function in the context-sensitive menu.
You can only move a wall fixed to its position with a dimension constraint by editing the constraint. In this case, the floor is automatically updated, if the Automatic floors setting is enabled.
Note:
- When a wall is moved, the ends of walls connected to the wall are moved along with the wall, e.g. conjoining walls are stretched or shortened according to the movement.
- When moving a wall using the grip point or the context-sensitive menu function Move, you can change the angle of the wall with the functions in the auxiliary menu or keyboard commands before selecting the new location.
