Edit a Wall Layer

You can edit a layer in the Wall dialog box as follows:

  1. Select a layer.

    Select a Wall Layer

  2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  3. Select one of the following:
    • Split - Divide the layer into two parts in the vertical direction.
    • Split with Trim - Divide the layer into two parts in the vertical direction of the wall, and add a siding trim between the parts.
    • Add Trim to Top Edge - Add a siding trim to the top edge of the layer.
    • Add Trim to Bottom Edge - Add a siding trim to the bottom edge of the layer.
    • Delete - Delete the layer.
    • Move up - Move the layer upwards on the list, or outwards in the preview image.
    • Move down - Move the layer downwards on the list, or inwards in the preview image.
    • Framing Tools - Define the rules to be used in the wall panel design.

    • Properties - Edit the general 3D properties of the layer in a dialog box.

Note:
  • When you divide a layer into parts, the parts are presented on the rows of their own in the Layers list. You can separately edit the bottom and top heights and other properties of each part. This also applies to the siding trim.
