Generate Truss Drawings
Framer
Use this function to create truss drawings. The viewing directions of trusses are marked with arrows on the layout drawing.
The truss drawing is based on the selected template drawing. The locations and sizes of the views and schedules to be added to the truss drawing are defined in the template drawing. The default scale of the view is determined by the size in which it fits into the view area.
- Select one or more trusses.
- Do one of the following:
- Select Truss | Panel | Generate Truss Drawings.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu, and select Generate Truss Drawings.
- Select a template drawing in the dialog box. The suitable template drawings are highlighted in blue in the dialog box.One of the suitable template drawings is selected by default.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
The truss drawings are temporarily stored in the Tmp folder in the building folder. Final truss drawings are saved in the Se folder in the building folder when you save the building. Just like with buildings, previously saved versions are also kept of the truss drawings. The truss drawings have the same version number as the building. When you close a building, you can select old versions to be deleted and keep only the latest saved version of both the building and the truss drawings.
- An asterisk (*) after the truss label marked in the drawing of a drawing-model pair indicates that the truss drawing is not up to date. When you create or update the truss drawing, the asterisk is removed from the label. You can update a truss drawing either by recreating the drawing, or by opening the drawing and selecting it to be updated.
- You can open the truss drawings with the function Open a Panel Drawing.
- You can add a truss schedule to the layout drawing with the function Panel Schedule.
- You can change the viewing direction of a truss with the function Set Truss View Direction.
