Keywords Connected with the Automatic Cutting of Logs
The LOGHOUSE setup file may contain the following keywords connected with the automatic cutting of logs.
- rec_log_distribution
- The length distribution of planed logs, which defines the joint locations in the log work drawing. It is defined as a pair of numbers, so that the first number determines the log length L, and the second number determines the percentage of logs with the length L among the logs of the wall. The minimum length of a log is defined with the keyword min_log_length. For example:
- cyl_log_distribution
- The length distribution of round logs. It is defined in the same way as the length distribution of planed logs.
Note:
- Logs, which are longer than the maximum value defined in the length distribution, are
drawn with a different line type than rest of the logs in the log work drawing, when the
keyword mark_too_long_logs has been defined in the setup file. The keyword value is the name
of the line which defines the line properties in the system settings, for example:
mark_too_long_logs= LOG.MARKER
- The automatic cut is not performed, if there are logs cut with the function Cutting a Log on the wall.
- You can also set a maximum log length without cutting the logs. Remove the keywords rec_log_distribution and cyl_log_distribution, and define the maximum log length with the keyword max_log_length, for example max_log_length= 6000. When you close the log work drawing, the program warns you about the logs exceeding the maximum length, but the logs are not cut.
