Master Revisions Database

You can create a master revision database for adding information of all the changes made to the building. You can copy the change information into the revision data of any document in the building. You can add the revision data as a text macro in a drawing.

You can create and edit the master revisions database with the function on the building data card. The data card of the template buildings included in the basic delivery of the program has a button Master Revisions Database, which opens the database.

You can also create a master revisions database in the drawing-model pair or drawing sheet of the building as follows:

  1. Open the building for which you want to add revision information.
  2. Activate any of the building's drawing-model pairs or drawing sheets.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Right-click in the active document to open the context-sensitive menu and select Active Document Data from the menu.
    • Select Archives | Buildings | Edit Data Edit Document Data.

    The Building Document Information database view is opened.

  4. Activate the Document Revisions database view under the Building Document Information database view.
  5. Click the Edit master revisions button. The Building Revisions database view opens.
  6. Add a row to the database by clicking the Add row button.
  7. Fill in the change data in the text fields.
    • No - Type the revision number in the text field.
    • Date - Add today's date by clicking the Date button. You can also type the desired date to the field in the format dd.mm.yyyy, for example 15.11.2004.
    • Designer
    • Remark - Type a description of the revision in the text field.
    • Time used
    • Billing information
  8. Confirm by clicking OK. You will return to the Document Revisions database view.
  9. You can copy the building's revision information into the revision data of the active document by clicking the Add master revision button. Select the desired row in the Building Revisions database view, and accept by clicking OK.
Note:
  • The revisions are saved in the REVMASTER database in the building's folder.
