Document Revisions

You can add the information about the changes made to the document in the document's revision database. You can add revision information either for an open document, or for a set of documents of an open building.

  1. Open the building whose documents you want to add revision information to.
  2. If you want to define revision information for a specific document, open the document.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Right-click in the active document to open the context-sensitive menu and select Active Document Data from the menu.
    • Select Archives | Buildings | Edit Data Edit Document Data.

    The Building Document Information database view is opened. If you opened the database view with the Edit Document Data function, you can browse the documents with the cursor keys arrow up and arrow down.

  4. Activate the Document Revisions database view under the Building Document Information database view.
  5. Add a row to the database by clicking the Add row button.
  6. Define the revision information. Do either of the following:
    • Copy the information from the building's master revision database by clicking the Add master revision button. Select the desired row in the Building Revisions database view, and accept by clicking OK. If necessary, edit the copied data. Read more about Master Revisions Database.
    • Type the information in the text fields:
      • BOM Phase - Select a floor description from the list.
      • Revision Number - Type the revision number in the text field.
      • Date - Click the button that opens the list to add the date of today to the field.

        You can also type the desired date to the field in the format dd.mm.yyyy, for example 15.11.2004.
      • Revised By
      • Remark - Type a description of the revision in the text field.
      • Visible on Sheet - Revision information is displayed above the title block on the drawing sheet. It requires that a text macro has been added to the sheet, into which the information is read.
  7. You can copy the rows you added to other documents in the building by clicking Copy. Select the rows you want to copy and click OK. After that, select, for example, the drawing sheets whose revision data will have rows copied to.
  8. Confirm by clicking OK.
