Export a Drawing Sheet to the Library
You can export the drawing sheet of a building to your own drawing sheet library. The data added for the sheet with the Document Information function is also stored in the library. If the drawing sheet has views as reference drawings, references to the views are also saved in the library. When you import the sheet from the library to another building, views of the same name must be found in the view_dwgs folder of the building. A reference to a drawing outside the building works if the reference is an absolute file path.
Export a drawing sheet to the library as follows:
- Open the Architectural documents / Sheets branch in the document browser.
- Select the drawing sheet. You can select several sheets in the following ways:
- Press and hold the Ctrl key to select several sheets.
- Select a set of sheets:
- Click the first sheet.
- Press the Shift key, and click the last sheet of the set.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select Export to library. The browser is opened.
- Select Custom Libraries.
- Do one of the following:
- Double-click an existing library folder in the right side browser pane.
- Create a new library by selecting Create New Library from the right-click menu in the right side browser pane. Type a description for the library. Select the library you created by double-clicking the library folder.
The program displays the export information in a message window. For example:
- ARCHI: Sheet type selection. When you import the sheet from the library to a building, you can select it from the folder according to the type selection in the library browser. The plan type selected for the sheet in the document information is set as the type selection. If no plan type is selected, the type selection is set to OTHER. Later, you can modify the type selection by editing the sheet library.
- elevsheet1_50: The code of the sheet. The file name of the sheet without the file extension is set as the code.
- My sheets: Name of the library.
- Ok: Export was successful.
