Binding a Beam to a Roof

You can bind a beam to a roof using a coincidence constraint. The beam will then follow the changes of the roof pitch. First, bind the beam's sideward location using a distance constraint, for example.

  1. Select Modeling | Connection | Distance Coindidence.
  2. Select the roof.

  3. Select the roof surface.

  4. Select the beam.

  5. Select the beam line.

Note:
  • The column under the beam will follow the beam, when a joint has been formed between them.
