Copy an Element in the Same Drawing/Model
Copy the selected elements , and click a new location within the same drawing by selecting the Copy function. Copy and locate the elements as follows:
- Select one or more elements.
- Select the context-sensitive function Copy.
- Select a reference point.
- A dashed line is drawn from the reference point when the cursor is close to vertical or horizontal or at a 45-degree angle. The cursor will then change into a symbol indicating that you can constrain the cursor in the direction in question.
- Lock the cursor in the desired direction by clicking the left mouse button.
- You can prevent the direction constraint by pressing the Alt key when clicking the location.
- Select the location of the copy.
Before clicking the location, you can select auxiliary functions from the additional menu, for example, rotate the element or change its height.
You can also rotate the element by using the keyboard commands. The changing angle is displayed on the status bar (the value of the gamma angle will change).
- at intervals of 5 deg; by using the Up and Down cursor keys.
- at intervals of 1 deg; by using the Left and Right cursor keys.
- at intervals of 45 deg; by using Ctrl+M keys
You can set an element to the desired angle by selecting the angle value from the Angle list on the contextual toolbar. The angle affects in relation to the selected reference point.
