Select an Element in a Drawing
Select an element in the working window and perform a function on it. An element can be either a part model (volume), subassembly, part's face, line or point. In a sketch an element can be a line, point or dimension constraint. In the drawing can be a hatch, text, group or a symbol. For example, before selecting the Delete function, select the element you want to delete.
Use the functions on the toolbar in the opposite way: first select the function, after which the program will prompt you to select an element.
When you select an element, the program will indicate the selection as follows:
- The color of the selected element changes.
- The properties of the selected element can be viewed by selecting the context-sensitive function Properties.
- The context-sensitive menu will display those functions that can be performed on the element.
Note:
- You can limit which elements will be selected by using element types.
