Define the Item Data of a Weld Part 3D

Once you have added the welds to an assembly, you need to define the data of each weld for the welding list.

If you want several lines of text in the welding list, you can write the text (for example welding methods) consecutively separated by pipe characters ( | ).

  1. Select from the assembly tree.
  2. Select the Item Data function from the context-sensitive menu.
  3. Define the weld data on the Base data tab as follows:
    • Enter the part number displayed in the welding list in the Label field.
    • Select a symbol for the Description field from the list. If you enter text, no symbol will be included in the welding list.
    • Enter the A dimension of the weld in the Dimensions field.
    • Enter the base material in the Material field, indicating the welded parts.
    • The length of the weld is automatically filled into the Length field. The application calculates it from the geometry.
    • Select a Method from the list or enter one in the field.
    • Fill in a welding process specification in the W.P.S. field.
  4. Define the filler and inspection data for the weld on the Filler tab.
  5. Click OK.
