Framing Accessories - Anchors

Add an anchoring part to a wall panel.

1. Select Modeling | Panel | Wall > Framing Accessories.
2. Select the folder Anchors.
3. Double-click (1010) Anchors.
4. Select a wall panel.
5. Select the joint component.
6. Click a position.

As a default, the locating point of the joint component is in its center point and the joint component is locked for movement along the wall panel's center line. If necessary, you can change the locating point by clicking the Loc.Point button or pressing the F8 key. This will change the locating point by turns to one of the four corners of the joint component's 2D presentation.

In steel structure environments, you can also add the following anchor:

Select Modeling | Panel | Wall > Framing Accessories. Select the folder Anchors. Double-click (1020) Holdown Anchors. Select the properties of the anchor. Select a wall panel. Select a stud. Select Confirm.
