Managing Option Groups

Option System

You can create an option group from individual options. When you select an option group to be solved, all the options in the group will be solved. You can use option groups in all projects. The basic delivery of the software includes an example of an option group database. If required, the database can be customized to meet the requirements of your company.

  1. Select Options | Project Options Global Option Groups. The Global Option Groups and Options of Group database views will open.
  2. Define the option group information in the Global Option Groups database view.
    • You can add a new option group by copying an existing group with the Copy button.
    • Type the name of the option group in the Group Name field. When you presolve an option group for a master set, in the project's MS folder the program creates a subfolder with the same name, in which the drawings are saved.
    • Type a description of the option group in the Description field.
    • Fill in the rest of the data according to the software customization.
  3. Define the options belonging to the group in the Options of Group database view.
    • If necessary, add a row to the database with the Edit menu functions.
    • Select an option from the Master database by clicking the Master button. The Master database contains all the standard options defined in the system.
    • You can select several options at a time from the Master database by clicking the Select button. Click the options in the list while holding down the Ctrl key.

  4. Confirm by clicking OK.
