Generating and Printing Bottom Plate Drawings

Framer

Generate the bottom plate drawings of the wall panels in the active building as follows:

  1. Select Classic Wall Framing | Panel Schedule Generate Bottom Plate Views.
  2. Confirm that you wish to generate the drawings by clicking Yes in the message box.
  3. Select whether you wish to create the bottom plate drawings of the wall panels in the active drawing-model pair, or the wall panels in the entire building. Select either of the following:
    • Active drawing
    • Entire building
  4. Select the panels from a list. The list contains either the wall panels of the active drawing-model pair, or the wall panels of the entire building. You can select all panels in the list by clicking the All button.

When you select all the panels in the list, the program collects the bottom plates of the exterior walls and the interior walls to drawing files of their own. The drawing files are numbered consecutively, and saved in the building folder.

If you selected individual panels from the list, continue as follows:
    1. Type the number of the first drawing file in a text box.
    2. Select either of the following:
      • Create mixed file - The bottom plates of the selected panels are collected into the same drawing file.
      • Update existing files- If the bottom plates of the selected panels have already earlier been added to drawing files, the files in question will be updated.
Note:
  • By default, the drawing-model pair label is added to the bottom plate drawing. If you wish to display the description of the drawing-model pair defined in the building parameters in the bottom plate drawing, add the keyword bottom_pl_view_bom_phase to the WALLS keyword group. The keyword can have the following values:
    • bottom_pl_view_bom_phase = 0: The drawing-model pair label is added to the bottom plate drawing, for example 1, 2, roof.
    • bottom_pl_view_bom_phase = 1: The description of the drawing-model pair defined in the building parameters is added to the bottom plate drawing, for example 1st floor, 2nd floor, Roof.
