Settings of Optionalized Drawings

Option System

Define the settings of optionalized drawings as follows:

  1. Select Options | Optionalized Drawings.
  2. Set the optionalized drawings in a database view.

Database View Fields

Source file
Type the name of the original text drawing file and its location in the building folder. For example:
view_templates/txtFA.vxp
If you are using the same drawing file in several buildings, save the drawing file in the ../custom/picts folder. The program first searches the drawing file from the building folder. If the drawing file is not in the building folder, the program searches it from the ../custom/picts folder. For example:
custom/picts/view_templates/txtFA.vxp
Solved file
Type the name in which you want to save the file when the options are solved. For example:
job.txtF.vxp
Option condition
Select the option condition by clicking the Select options button above the column. Select the option in the Building Options database view. When the option condition comes true, the source file will be saved in the name defined in the Solved file field.
The Building Options Database View
Rev
If you want the drawing file to be flipped when you are reversing the house, select an X in the Rev. field. If the field is left blank, the drawing will be copied to the drawing sheet without being flipped.
File type
For the text note drawing, select OTHER from the list. The PROJECT alternative is used for the drawing files created from the drawing-model pairs of the building, for example the floor plan drawings. The building files are generated automatically when you solve the options, therefore these drawings need to be optionalized only in exceptional cases.
Note:
  • You can create an optionalized drawing (for example job.txtF.vxp) already before solving the options by using the Creating Job Files function. After this, you can add the drawing on an elevation drawing sheet by using the function Add a Drawing on a Sheet.
