Add a Drawing to a Sheet
With this function a view drawing, for example, a section view, an elevation view or a floor plan is added on a drawing sheet. You can also add the reference drawings that are shown in the floor plan to the sheet. First, open the drawing sheet on which you wish to add a drawing. It is recommended to update the elevation, section and perspective views with the Update Views function, before you add them to a sheet.
- Open a drawing sheet.
Update and Open a Drawing Sheet
Add a New Drawing Sheet - Do either of the following:
- Select the function from the ribbon:
- Select Output | Drawings | Add Drawing to Sheet.
- Select the drawing type to be added:
- Elevation, section and view drawings
- Floor plan drawing
- Floor plan drawing for module
- Drawing from building folder
- Select the drawing to be added. Select a drawing from building folder in the Open dialog box.
- Select the function in the building's document browser:
- Open a branch of the document browser, for example Architectural Documents / Sections.
- Move the cursor over the view name.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select Add Drawing to Sheet.
You can add a floor plan by opening the document browser branch Architectural Design. Position the cursor on the name of the floor plan, for example, 1st floor wall layout.
- Select the function from the ribbon:
- The default reference point is the drawing origin. If necessary, select an auxiliary function, which you can use to change the reference point, to mirror a drawing or to change the drawing scale, for example.
- Select the location of the reference point of the drawing on the drawing sheet.
- Save the drawing sheet by selecting > Save.
- Close the sheet.
Note:
- You can delete the drawing from the sheet by selecting Drafting | Tools | Reference Drawings > Delete.
