Title Block Information

The title block on the drawing sheet has been defined in the base building which you have used as the basis for the building. The base building can be an old building or an empty template building. The designing information presented in the title block are text macros. Their contents can be read from following sources, for example:

  • The building data card
  • Document information
  • Company information

You can edit the information in the title block by editing these sources of information.

  • Edit the data card of the open building. Do either of the following:

    • Select Archives | Buildings | Edit Data.
    • Select the function in the building's document browser:
      1. Open the branch Settings.
      2. Double-click Building data card.
  • Edit the document information and the revision information as follows:
    1. When the drawing sheet is open, right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
    2. Select Active Document Data from the menu.
  • Edit the company information as follows:
    1. Select System | Local Data.
    2. Edit the information in the Localization Data database view.
    3. Accept the changes by clicking the OK button.

After editing the building data card or the company information, refresh the title block by using the function Update Text Symbols. The document information and revision data are automatically updated in the title block.

Editing the Title Block

The title block on the drawing sheet is a reference drawing. You can open the title block for editing by selecting Drafting | Tools | Reference Drawings > Edit. For example, you can remove and add texts. Save the changes and update the reference drawing by selecting Drafting | Tools | Reference Drawings > Update. After this, refresh the text macro contents by using the function Update Text Symbols.

Note:
  • System tab is only available if you are a system administrator.
  • Reference Drawings are also available in the Drafting group on the Modeling tab.
