Import a Sheet from Another Building

You can import drawing sheets from another building to the active building. The selected sheets are copied to the view_sheets folder of the building, and they are displayed in the building's document browser. The document data is copied from the FILEINFO database of the source building to the database of the target building.

The views added to the drawing sheet as reference drawings must have the same names in both buildings. A reference to a drawing outside the building is also copied if the reference is an absolute path.
Note: You can only copy by sheets from a building in the local archive. Sheets cannot be copied from a building in Vertex Sync.
  1. Open the Architectural Documents branch in the building's document browser.
  2. Move the cursor on the title Sheets.
  3. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  4. Select Import Sheet From Another Building.
  5. Select the building and click OK.
  6. Select the file name of the drawing sheet from a list. Press and hold the Ctrl key to select several sheets.
  7. Confirm by clicking OK.

After this, you can open the sheet from the building's document browser. If necessary, first update the views on the sheet and their drawing generation models.
