Import a Sheet from Another Building
You can import drawing sheets from another building when the buildings are stored in the local archive. The selected sheets are copied to the view_sheets folder of the building, and they are displayed in the building's document browser. The document data is copied from the FILEINFO database of the source building to the database of the target building.
The views added to the drawing sheet as reference drawings must have the same names in both buildings. A reference to a drawing outside the building is also copied if the reference is an absolute path.
Note: You can only copy sheets from one building in the local archive to another building in the local archive. Sheets cannot be copied from or to a building in Vertex Sync.
- Open the Architectural Documents branch in the building's document browser.
- Move the cursor on the title Sheets.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
- Select Import Sheet From Another Building.
- Select the building and click OK.
- Select the file name of the drawing sheet from a list. Press and hold the Ctrl key to select several sheets.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
After this, you can open the sheet from the building's document browser. If necessary, first update the views on the sheet and their drawing generation models.
Note:
- Drawing sheets can be organized in the document browser by file name or description. The order-determining property is set in the system settings with the keyword sort_view_sheets_by_file_name. The default varies in different localization environments.
- sort_view_sheets_by_file_name = 0: The sheets are organized by the description.
- sort_view_sheets_by_file_name = 1: The sheets are organized by the file name.
