Selecting Imported Files

If you choose the selection method Select imported files from list in the imported project data, you can select which entries of the project will be imported. A dialog box opens, in which you can select the imported files.

When the project is imported with its original project label and there is a project with the same in the project archives, on the left side there are files found on the system with the same name as one of the project, and on the right side there are files of the imported project.

If the project is imported with a new label, imported files of the project only are displayed in the list.

Selecting imported files

You can select the imported files by clicking the symbol that toggles between and .

When importing a project with its original label and a label with the same name already exists, the meaning of the symbols displayed next to each other is following:

File existing in the system

File is replaced by the imported file.

File is kept.

File is deleted. File is not replaced.

If the project is imported with the new label, imported entries of the project only are displayed in the list. Select the imported entries by clicking the symbol.

File is imported.

File is not imported.

If the list includes several files you can make the same kind of symbol selection, do as follows:

1. Select files in list as follows:
   • Select one file by clicking with the left mouse button.
   • Select more than one by holding down Ctrl while clicking with the left mouse button.
   • Select the desired range from the list by holding down Shift and clicking the start and end of the range with the left mouse button.
   • Select all by pressing Ctrl+A.
2. Switch to a similar import method for all the selected files by clicking the symbol column while pressing the Ctrl key.

Type

This field contains the type of the file:

• Project - Vertex project.
• Form - Archived Vertex form.
• Drawing - Archived Vertex drawing without form.
• Database - Vertex database.
• File - Vertex drawing saved in the file name, or other file type.

Label

This field contains the ID of the project, the label of the archive document or database name.

This field contains the file name of the drawing, Vertex database or other file type.

Date

This field contains the date on which the file was edited last.
