Edit the System Settings

Edit the system settings that are common for all users.

If the application environment is installed on a network server, the edited settings will come into effect for all workstation license users using the shared environment.

1. Select > Preferences > Edit.
2. You can edit the keywords either in the End User's View or in the Administrator's View.
   • End User's View: You can edit a keyword in a user interface, which makes it easy to set the values of the keyword parameters. The user interface is intended for those keywords that require the most frequent editing. If you wish to use this view, clear the Administrator's View checkbox in the dialog box.
   • Administrator's View: Some of the keywords can only be edited in the administrator's view, where the keyword parameters are displayed numerically. If you know the name of the keyword or a part of it, you can search for it in the keyword groups and edit its value. If you wish to use this view, select the Administrator's View checkbox in the dialog box.
3. If you use the administrator's view, do one of the following:
   • Find a Keyword from a Keyword Group
   • Find a Keyword Among All Keywords
   • Change a Keyword Value
   • Restore the Keyword Default Value
   • Search a Keyword Group
   • Add a New Keyword
   • Delete a Keyword
4. Confirm by clicking OK.
5. Restart Vertex.
