With the dialog box options you can specify how to import project.
Dialog Box Options
- Project Id
- Specifies the name of the project id. The original label of the imported project is set
as a default. If you accept the original label of the project, the project is imported
with its original name to the project archives.
- If there is a project with the same name as one of the project in the project archives,
you can replace the project with the imported project, or update the project with the
selected entries of the project. In the section Selection mode of
the the dialog box, you can specify how to import the project data.
- If necessary, you can rename the project label.
Name the Label ID
- If the label is new and there is not a project with the same name in the project
archives, the project can be imported with the new label.
- If there is a project with same label in the project archives as the new one, or the
label is named incorrectly, importing of the project is prevented. In this case, you can
close the dialog box by clicking the Cancel button.
- Old project
- By selecting the Backup old project option, you can create a
backup copy of the old project, when you import a project with its original label, and
there is already a project with the same name in the project archives.
- Backup copy is named with project label and a running number. The backup copy is saved
in the Vertex folder projects. The name is displayed in this section of the dialog
box
- Confirming is automatically performed when using the Export
Project function. It can be restored by using the the Import
Project function.
- New Project
- If you are importing a project with the new name, you can select whether to import
project documents in To general archives or To project
based archives. The new project uses a selected archives.
- If you select the To general archives option, it will be checked
whether there are already the same drawing numbers in the general archives as in imported
project. If there exist the same drawing numbers, an error message is displayed later and
importing of the project is prevented. In this case, you must select the To
project based archives option.
- Selection Mode
- By selecting the Select imported files from list option, you can
select which entries of the project will be imported. List of project files is opened in
the dialog box. Select the imported files.

- By selecting the Import whole project option, the project is
imported like that. If the project is imported with its original project label and there
is a project with the same in the project archives, all extra entries of the project which
do not exist in the imported project will be removed from the old project.
