PDF Book Dialog Box

Defines the creation data of PDF book such as documents saved in the file, size and orientation of the sheet, width and color of the lines etc. Define the data in the dialog box.

On the tab, in the Sheet Sets group, click PDF Book.

Dialog Box Options

New: Sets all the fields of the dialog box to their default values. Selection file field is cleared, project id is set as a title, -TEMP- is set as a profile, and Drawings, Drawing files and Text files field is set to value 0 (no selected drawing numbers). You can define new data in the fields.
Open: Opens a saved selection file. File name extension is .pds. The selection file sets values in the dialog box fields. You can still edit the selections in the dialog box. When you confirm the dialog box data the PDF file is created taken also into account possible changes.; Profile settings from the saved selection file is stored to -TEMP- profile when selection file is opened. Comparing profile saved to the selection e.g. profile1 to -TEMP- profile, you can find out if there is any changes made to the profile profile1 in the profile database.; If profile saved to the selection file does not exist any more in the profiles database, when opening selection file programs asks whether to add profile to the profile database or not. If you select Yes, profile will be added to the profiles database. If you select No, the profile settings of - TEMP - will be set according to the profile settings of the selection file.
Save: Saves the selection file. File name extension is .pds. Title, name of the selected profile, settings of the selected profile and selected drawing numbers, drawing files and text files are stored to the selection file. Default folder for selection file is project folder, but you can save selection file into desired folder.
Selection file, Folder: File name of the opened or saved selection is shown in the this field.
Title: Main title displayed on the first line of the contents (Bookmarks) of the PDF file. For default title is project id.
Profile: Name of the selected profile. You can select profile with the Select button. If necessary, you can edit, add and delete profiles. -TEMP- is reserved name, which can be used for testing and other temporary use when you do not want to make a profile or change the old ones.; -TEMP- profile is added to the profile database automatically if it does not exist (deleted accidentally). PDF batch process application creates PDF files based on the saved selection files. If the name of the profile in the saved selection file is -TEMP- or profile does not exist in the profiles database any more, PDF file is created based on the profile settings stored in the selection file. Otherwise PDF file is created based on the current profile settings in the profiles database.; A table of contents can be defined in the PDF profile.; If No PDF bookmarks is selected, the table of contents is not included in the PDF file.; If As a picture is selected, a PDF table of contents is included as a picture at the begin of the PDF book. The status of the selection No PDF bookmarks does not affect this.; As a default, the table of contents is created on the blank A4 portrait. If you want to create a table of contents on top of a background drawing, which contains, for example a logo or other graphics, the file name of this drawing is entered in the Base pic. (picts folder) field. The saving path of the file is the ../shared/picts directory.; The location and format of the texts of the table of contents is defined in the file ../sysprogs/PDFsetup.txt.
Drawings, Project: Number of selected drawing numbers (not number of sheets). You can select drawings with the Select from Archives button.; If a project is active, you can select drawings in the project. Name of active project is displayed.; You can select the latest revision of the drawing to a PDF Book.; Select from archive; Select the drawing in the list by clicking the checkbox in the Drawing number field. The content of the Drawing number and Description field of an archived drawing is displayed in the list.; It can be added fields to the selection list of drawings. The list can be modified as a customer fitting.
Drawing Files, Folder: Number of selected drawing files. You can select drawings files from one folder only with the Select from Folder button. You can select Vertex drawings p_* and *.vxp. Files path is displayed.
Text Files, Folder: Number of selected text files. You can select text files from one folder only with the Select from Folder button. You can select ASCII, PostScript, Vertex text processing file. Files path is displayed.
