Scale a Reference Drawing by Measuring
You can define the scale of the reference drawing by measuring it in the drawing. Scaling with a measure is available when adding or moving a reference drawing.
Scaling when adding a reference drawing
Make an approximate scaling when adding the reference drawing.
- Select Drawing | Tools |  Reference Drawings > Reference Drawings > Reference Drawing. Reference Drawing.
- Select the  Scale with Measure auxiliary function. Click two points in the drawing, for which you already know the intervening distance. Scale with Measure auxiliary function. Click two points in the drawing, for which you already know the intervening distance.
- Confirm the distance value in the dialog box or enter a new value.
- Click the location of the reference drawing.
- If necessary, define the scaling
Scaling when moving a reference drawing
Refine the scaling when moving the reference drawing.
- Select Drawing | Tools |  Reference Drawings > Reference Drawings > Move. Move.
- Select the reference drawing to be moved.
- Select a reference point.
- Select the  Scale with Measure auxiliary function. Scale with Measure auxiliary function.
- Click two points in the drawing, for which you already know the intervening distance.
- Enter the actual distance between the two clicked boints as a numerical value.
- Click the location of the reference drawing.
- Select Confirm.
