New Item

  1. Select > New.

    The New Document dialog box opens.

  2. Select Part, Assembly or Drawing.
  3. Select the label by clicking the Get button, or fill in the Label field.
  4. If you add an item to a project, select To project, and activate an old project by clicking Select, or create a new project by clicking New.
  5. Select Add to archive, and fill in the data by clicking Item Data.
  6. Click OK.

  7. Click OK.
Note:
  • You can view and edit the contents of the item database.
    1. On the tab, in the Databases group, click Application Databases.
    2. Select Item database: Browse and Edit.

  • You can also create a new item when creating a new document, or in a part or an assembly model when the geometry already exists.
