Other Functions Related to Positioning
Process and Instrument Design
- On the
tab, in the Data group, click 
Positions, and select functions.
- Search for a position in a diagram, clarification
- Updating position text from a particular project's database
- Adding position text to a drawing, by indicating a device or pipe line
- Presenting position text in a table format
- Adding a condition table into a drawing
The position data in the table or the condition table are updated as the data changes. If the data is edited outside the diagrams, the Update Position Texts function may be necessary.
- Managing Project Formats
On the
tab, in the Data group, click 
Formats, and select 
Line Position Format. Formats control positioning.Formats are copied to the folder that is specified by the project link or to a local project folder.
- Attribute Processing
On the
tab, in the Data group, click 
Attributes, and select 
Copy Attribute Data.- Copies attributes from one element to another
- Defines what data is carried over from one element to another
- Exporting diagram data (remote transfer) into the Flow data management system or external database
- Setting Activity of Fields
On the
tab, in the Data group, click Attributes, and select 
Setting of the Field Activities. Project specific selection of usable PI database fields.- Select database type.
- Select the Copy Activities of Fields (see above, section Setting Activity of Fields). Select the project folder in which the settings are copied.
- Select settings to be copied.
- Click OK.
