Create a Drawing-specific Symbol

General

  • You can create a drawing-specific symbol of a group.
  • A drawing-specific symbol is a "tighter" combination of elements than a group and is treated as a single element.
  • The drawing-specific symbol can be exploded into a group.
  • You can utilize a drawing-specific symbol when creating a cover symbol.
    • A hatch with a Z coordinate has been added to the covering symbol.
    • Removing hidden lines covers the elements and regular lines with a lower Z coordinate under the symbol.
  • The drawing-specific symbol remains in the drawing when the drawing is saved and read.

Starting point

  • The drawing contains elements or lines, texts, and hatches from which you want to form a drawing-specific symbol.
  • You have made a group of these elements with the function Drawing | Group.

  4. Confirm the code by clicking OK.
  5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 to continue creating drawing-specific symbols.
  6. Stop creating drawing-specific symbols
    • Select another function or
