Copy to Clipboard

  • Copy in the assembly model the selected parts or assemblies
  • Copy the feature selected in the part model
  • Copy the geometry selected in the sketch
  • Copy the geometry selected in the drawing

As an example, Drawing.

  1. Select the elements in the drawing.
  2. On the tab, in the Clipboard group, click Copy.
  3. Click a reference point.
  4. Select Confirm. (Press the V key).

In Context-sensitive Menu

Copy the selected elements on the clipboard by selecting the context-sensitive function Clipboard> Copy. This function will replace the content last copied on the clipboard.

When you copy more than one element in a sketch, all the constraints defined for the elements will also be copied. If one of the elements copied has a constraint affecting an element that is not copied, the constraint will not be copied. Any geometric constraints determined for the part will not be copied in the assembly. The copied part and assembly will remain a link part.

Copy elements as follows:

  1. Select one or more elements.
  2. Do either of the following:
    • Select the context-sensitive function Clipboard> Copy.
    • Press Ctrl+C.
  3. If you are copying elements in a drawing, click also a reference point.
Note:
  • You can select a reference point for the copying element in the drawing and use it to position the copy.
  • You can paste the selected elements to any drawing or model, for example to the other project drawing or model by the contexts-sensitive function Clipboard> Paste.
  • You can copy elements in the same drawing by selecting the Copy function from the context-sensitive menu, and then select the location of the copy.
