Disable 2D Constraint Manager

If necessary, you can disable the Constraint Manager when the drawing window is active. You can make this setting when starting work, or temporarily disable it when the drawing window is active.

  1. Select Drawing and Model Settings
  2. Select or clear: 2D Constraint Manager

Disabling the setting affects the operation of the program as follows:

  • The geometric constraints of the drawing are not solved.
  • Constraints are not automatically added. For example, the drawing function Rectangle is not created automatically with perpendicular constraints.
  • You can edit only dimension constraints in a drawing.
  • Other functions related to geometric constraints are disabled.
Note:
  • Drawing elements containing constraints retain their constraints if the Constraint Manager is disabled during design work. Geometric constraints will not be added to new elements afterwards.
  • You can delete a constraint automatically added to a line by selecting the line and then selecting the context-sensitive function Properties.
