Set a Fixed Point for the Building Component Library Swap

You can select a fixed point from a building component when replacing the component with a component in a different library. That point will remain in the same place. The fixed point matters when the original and the new component are of different sizes.

1. Select Modeling | Tools Set Fixed Point for Building Component Library Swap.
2. Select a component.
3. Select any point in the component as the fixed point.

Note

• A fixed point selected for a window or a door will also determine the unmoving point when you resize the opening by editing its properties.
• If you do not select a fixed point, the program will use the locating point last used as the fixed point when the location of the original component was defined.
