Material Reports in the Vertex BD Architectural and Pro Products
Architectural
In the Vertex BD Architectural and Pro products, a material item can have an associated sub-assembly that is defined in the sub-assemblies. A sub-assembly can consist of several materials that are calculated according to certain customer-specific rules. The sub-assembly of a building part can contain e.g. the lumber, sheathing, fasteners and installation. You can include the sub-assemblies in the bill of materials by rolling out the bill. Select an alternative that includes rolling out the bill from the Output format list. The different output format options have been defined in the setup file KOMPOT. The file contains definitions for whether the bill will be rolled out or not.
In addition to outputting to a word processor, the Vertex BD Architectural and Pro products include the possibility of outputting the bill of materials to, for example, Excel.
The file contains macros that must be run in order to open the file in Excel. The default method of opening the files in Excel depends on the macro virus protection level: the macros can either be automatically run or removed from use or the program may prompt the user to select whether or not the macros are run.
Update the data of the bill of materials in the Excel sheet by selecting Yes in a dialog box.
