Structural Layer Limiting a Room
A room can be limited by either of the following structural layers of a wall:
- The surface of the interior finish
- The interior surface of the framing
The structural layer limiting a room is defined in the keyword group BDSX. The definition is under the keyword room_edge_lines. The keyword also takes any interior walls that have been added into consideration so that the outer face of the wall is towards the room. Type two lines depicting the structural layer of the wall as the value for the keyword:
- Room edge line of a wall with the inner face towards the room
- Room edge line of a wall with the outer face towards the room
The keyword can have the following values:
- room_edge_lines= "INTERIOR FINISH" "SIDING"
- If the inner face of the wall is towards the room, the room is limited by the surface of the interior finish (INTERIOR FINISH).
- If the outer face of the wall is towards the room, the room is limited by the outer surface of the cladding (SIDING).
- room_edge_lines= "INTERIOR" "EXTERIOR"
- If the inner face of the wall is towards the room, the room is limited by the interior face of the framing (INTERIOR).
- If the outer face of the wall is towards the room, the room is limited by the exterior face of the framing (EXTERIOR).
