Selecting a Geometry Group

If you select both Groups of Geometry and one of the basic geometric object types (Hatches, Dimensions, Texts, Lines) as the filtering object type in the Selection Filter dialog box, geometry groups will be the primary selection. For example, if you select both Groups of Geometry and Lines as the object type, and then you select a line belonging to a geometry group in a drawing, the entire geometry group will be selected. If you only want to select the line, open the Selection Filter dialog box and clear the selection of Groups of Geometry.

Preceding selection method is the default method. Alternatively, you can use a method according to which geometry groups are only selected, if the object type Groups of Geometry is selected in the Selection Filter dialog box, but none of the basic geometric object types are. To set this method in use, define the keyword set.geomgroup.select= 1 in the ../user/SETUP file.
