Define a Sketched Area
Architectural
With this function, existing building components can be defined as a sketched area, for example a sketched room in the attic. The data of the building components defined as a sketched area, is not collected to the material report. The geometry of the selected building components becomes drawn with a dash line in the floor plan drawing, in the model it is hidden. The geometry of the building components can be restored with the function Delete a Sketched Area.
- Select Modeling | Tools Define Sketched Area.
- Select one or more objects.
- Select Confirm.
- Type a name for the sketched area.
Note
- An object without 2D geometry cannot be defined as a sketched element.
- You can define the drawing properties of the dash-line in the system settings by using the
keyword (in the keyword group bdsx/Line parameters for sketched areas):
sketched_lineparam= LINE_FONT SCALE LINEWIDTH
LINE_FONT is the line type
SCALE is the scale or line spacing
LINEWIDTH is the line width
If LINEWIDTH is 0, or it has not been defined, the line width of the original line will be used.
Example: sketched_lineparam= 4 -150 0.18
