Drawing-Specific Parameters
When you open a drawing in the working window, the default parameters (fonts, pens, line and hatch fonts, dimensions etc.) of the Vertex software are activated for the drawing elements.
If necessary, you can enable the drawing-specific parameters for the drawing elements. In this case, information about the drawing settings used in the drawing, drawing element properties, and their visibility are also saved in the drawing. When you import a drawing into Vertex in a different format, the drawing's original line types and colors are retained. You can add elements to the drawing and then export the file. The parameters of the added elements are also saved in the file.
You can enable the drawing-specific parameters by setting the keyword set.use.picparams= 1 in the user/SETUP file.
Parameter data saved in a drawing file includes the following:
- Fonts
- Line Width
- Line type and style
- Hatch Type
- Resolution
- Grid
- Part number circle size
- Dimension arrow size
- Dimension line width, etc.
- The keyword does not affect the layers of the drawing to be opened. Either the layer scheme saved in the drawing or the default layer scheme is activated in the drawing, see Keep Layer Scheme Saved in the Drawing.
