Notch Data

Defines a notch with the specified dimensions in the corner or intersection of two straight lines. Define the data in the dialog box.

If the 2D Constraint Manager is enabled, dimension constraints and coincident constraints are connected to the notch.

Dialog Box Options

A

Determines the distance of the notch from the corner point on the first straight line. The meaning of the letter symbols is depicted in the figure in the dialog box. Select a suitable value from the list, or enter a dimension value in the field.

The field options are defined in the draft keyword group with the keyword notching.

B

Determines the distance of the notch from the corner point on the second straight line.

A<->B

This function can be used to interchange the notch values A and B.

Interchange the notch values A and B. The notch will be positioned as follows:

Properties

Defines the notch line properties. Define the line properties in the dialog box.

Keep Line 1

When this check box is selected, the selected line will retain its length. Line 1 is the line you selected first. If the check box is empty, the line will be trimmed to the notch.

Keep line 2

When this check box is selected, the selected line will retain its length in the notch. Line 2 is the line you selected second. If the check box is empty, the line will be trimmed to the notch.
