Default Values for Dimension Line Presentation
The default values for dimension line presentation are defined in the system settings.
- Select .
- Use the end-user view. Clear the Administrator's View checkbox, if necessary.
- Open the branch Dimensions/Dimension lines.
- Select Dimension lines.
- Select the default values for dimension line presentation.
- Dimension line
Sets the dimension line visible, when this check box is selected. If you clear the check box, the dimension line is not shown.
- Dimension end markers
Defines the start and end of a dimension line. You can view different options in the preview window.
- Extension lines
Defines the extension lines. You can view different options in the preview window.
- Default
Restore the original default values by clicking the button.
- Dimension end settings
Select the dimension end settings:
- Auto. scale - Enables the scaling of dimension end when the text size is relative (has negative value).
- Size - Defines the size of the arrow, when Arrow has been selected as the dimension end marker.
- Amount of slashes
- Distance of slashes
- Size of slashes - Defines the size of the slash, when Slash has been selected as the dimension end marker.
- Flip slashes - When the check box is empty, the slashes are drawn for horizontal and vertical dimension lines as follows:
When the check box is selected, the slashes at the ends of vertical dimension lines are flipped.
- Circle size - Defines the size of an arrow or circle of a reference line text.
- Dimension line plotting
Select the default values for dimension line width and color to be used in printing. Select the color from a palette by clicking the Select button.

- Confirm by clicking OK.
- Restart Vertex.
You can also use the administrator's view:
- Select the Administrator's View checkbox.
- Find the keywords:
measline
meas_end_scale
meas_pen
- Enter the desired values for the keywords.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
- Restart Vertex.
- When you add a dimension with a relative height of dimension figure (the property has a negative value), the dimension ends are also scaled, if the following keyword is defined in the system settings:
