Browser Mode

The browser can be in basic mode or selection mode. You can distinguish between basic and selection modes based on the browser title.
  • Basic Mode

The program name (for example Vertex G4) or the document type (for example Models) is displayed on the browser’s title bar.

Browsers that are created at program startup are opened in basic mode. In basic mode, you can select functions from the browser, but other program features are also available.

The browsers opened with the function View | Browsers | List > Open Browsers are also in basic mode.

In basic mode, you can copy the browser by clicking Open New Browser.

  • Selection Mode

The prompt Select or Select [document type] is displayed on the browser’s title bar.

Browsers opened by a function are in selection mode. Make a selection in the browser or cancel the function.

Once you have added the selected document, select Confirm to return to the browser, or press Esc to exit selection mode. If you exit the selection mode while the browser is pinned, the browser mode changes to basic mode.

When the browser is in selection mode, other open browsers are inactive and they will be activated when you exit selection mode.

Copying a browser is not possible in the selection mode, and the function Open New Browser is not available.
