Create a New BCF File from the Building Model

Create a new BCF file from the building model as follows:

1. Activate the model window.
2. Select Archives | IFC BCF. The BIM Collaboration Format dialog box opens.
3. Select File > Create new file on the right side of the dialog box.
4. Enter a name for the project.
5. Move the cursor to the list field and select Add new topic from the right-click menu.
6. Fill in the topic information.

7. Confirm by clicking OK. You return to the topic list.
8. If necessary, do one of the following:
   • Double-click a row in the list to open the topic information.
   • Select Add new topic from the right-click menu.
   • Select the row of the topic and select Delete topic from the right-click menu.
9. Save the file:
   • While the dialog box is open, select File > Save.
   • Click OK to close the dialog box.
   • Select File > Save as to save the file with a different name.
