Properties of an IFC File

You can view the properties of an IFC file created in the export as follows:

  1. Select the IFC file in the Exported IFC files branch of the document browser.
  2. Right-click and select Properties.
  3. The Information displayed in the IFC Model Properties dialog box:
    • The name of the IFC file
    • IFC toolkit - The technique used to create the IFC file. As of version 2023 (29.0), the ODA tool is used.
    • Schema - IFC file format.
    • Vertex version - Vertex BD version with which the IFC file was created.
Note: You can also find out the IFC file format and other properties by opening the IFC file in Notepad++, for example. The file format can be determined from the value of the keyword FILE_SCHEMA, for example: FILE_SCHEME('IFC4').
