Find a Part or Subassembly in an Assembly

You can search for the parts and subassemblies in an assembly model according to the search criteria specified. The part found is highlighted in the assembly tree and the model.

Perform the search as follows:

1. Open the assembly model in the working window.
2. Press the Ctrl+F keys. More options...Less options...
   • (OR) Select Archives | Documents | Maintenance >  Find.
3. From the Find field dialog box, select the database fields to which you wish to target the search.
4. Enter the character string to search for, and select OK. If a part is found that matches the search criteria, it is highlighted in the assembly tree and in the model.
5. Select the found part or subassembly with the Select part button or find the next matching part with the Search next button.
